A play "Breath" : picturization and interpretation challenge

     This task is given by Prof. Dilip Barad Sir for better understanding absurdity and ridiculousness into the Beckett's play.

Samuel  Beckett's Play  :  " Breath..."

Here,  I am going to Share my view on Samuel  Beckett's Play on " Breath..." . Let's start our journey of learning together...

 I have seen some videos in Dr. Dilip Barad sir's blog, so I would like to share my own video on that and my interpretation about 'Breath' shortest movie version.

Interpretation of the video:

When we look  rubbish and extra things that time we thought that this is like dirty or horror  look.  I had tried to interpret my video on the play Breath by Samuel Beckett in this video,  some things were scattered and look like horror. we look at Samuel Beckett's play 'Breath' that time we connected that kind of Absurdity. 

Here,  I show to horror scene and horror sounds and few seconds as per the 'Breath' play script, that time I used to sound of crying , thunder and laughing sound. 

 All things are crust in that scene,  chess cookery , clock , keys , books, doll , parrot , camera, scattered colour , candle , mask, flowers , ball , badminton racket , puzzle ,  gogals,  hammer and many things  are there and fastly Strom come and scene like horror what time  I make my video. 

Curtain Up  :

 

1. Faint light on stage littered with miscellaneous rubbish. Hold about five seconds.

2. Faint brief cry and immediately inspiration and slow increase of light together reaching maximum - together in about ten seconds. Silence and hold for about five seconds.

3. Expiration and slow decrease of light together reaching minimum together (light as in 1) in about ten seconds and immediately cry as before. Silence and hold about five seconds. 

Curtain Down  :

Samuel Beckett wrote a short play of 32 seconds. It was a shock to see 32 seconds. 

In this video no  character , not a single dialogue, or not any movement, just breathing and a different type of horror and lighting scenes. It was interesting to interpret the play . Also The beginning part of script suggest birth, as the light inspires and grows. 

The doll is a symbol of human being.If we put the clock and doll together we can say that the doll has no choice to live its life.She has followed time in life.Somewhere We also are control by time  and another many things .

In this video camera is a symbol of humans beings memories . Man does not remember their  silly things and all over activity that time camera captured their memories . And they can saw their activity any time.

Chess cookeries is a symbol of we have our own life but we can't live our life with own style . We all are sometimes following society 's rules . Sometimes we have a limitation to do some kind of works in life .like in chess player has a limitation to running his /her cookery.

Gogals and mask is a symbol of how humans behaviour in this time . Now a days people live their life with fake faces . They saw hypocrisy. 

At the end part of the video , with the cry again it symbolizes a death of a person. So, It is a journey of human life from birth to death and in between what is the purpose of human life.

After watching video I thought our life is meaning full or meaningless ?

It was a challenging task for all of us.But we learn many things and we have enjoyed this task .
